Maintenance Technician 2

o Technicians are expected to perform maintenance and repairs to rotary screw compressors, condensers, evaporators, boilers, pumps, valves, fans, piping, mechanical drives, electric motors, industrial control systems, HVAC systems and general facility repairs.
o Technicians are required to respond to and remediate releases of anhydrous ammonia.
Therefore 24-hour HAZWOPER certification is required (training and certification is provided).
Candidates must pass a HAZMAT physical to qualify for Industrial Refrigeration Position.
o With minimal technical assistance, must be able to accurately maintain, troubleshoot and repair all manufacturing equipment and share knowledge of applicable mechanical concepts/principles to other Maintenance personnel.
o With minimal technical assistance, must be able to accurately maintain, troubleshoot and repair all facility and utilities (i.
e.
, compressed air, water, steam).
o With minimal technical assistance, must be able to accurately troubleshoot and repair facility electrical equipment that includes single/3-phase AC and DC circuits.
o Must be able to execute position requirements with little or no supervision.
o Must be able to read and correctly interpret mechanical and electrical manuals/ schematics as required.
o Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks on time as scheduled and report results.
o Complete Work Order tasks as assigned by Maintenance management in a cost effective and timely manner.
o Provide assistance in determining the specifications and requirements of spare parts under the department's spare parts program.
o Perform special projects as assigned by Maintenance management in a cost effective and timely manner.
o Inform the appropriate facility personnel of any necessary modifications or system malfunctions that would affect their area of operation.
o Utilize existing and future Maintenance Managements Systems effectively.
o Lead shift maintenance crew to insure timely efficient and professional completion of assigned duties.
o Help to train Tech I's and Generalists, in their endeavor to advance in skill, and position within in the maintenance department.
o Insure cleanliness and organization of shop, tool room and completed job sites by self and shift maintenance crew at shifts end.
o Must be able to weld (Mig, Tig, and Arc.
) o Must be able to use basic shop and hand tools.
